First- and second-graders sing of
Christmas cheer
In an effort to alleviate parking dilemmas and crowding,
Carlinville Primary School split up its Christmas concerts. Third-graders held
their concert Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m., while first- and second-graders held their
concert the same day at 1 p.m. Music teacher Eldon Wold led both concerts.
Several students sang solos during the first- and
second-grade performance. “Hello Ev’rybody” featured solos by Jillian Stayton
and Colin Kreipe. Sophia Ruffatto sang a solo during “The More We Sing
Together.” Emma Gansz sang a solo during “America.” “Sing We Now of Christmas”
featured solos by Joseph “J.D.” Byots, Gracie Jackman, Ella Pepper and Lane
Stinnett. Grace Wilton sang a solo during “Away in a Manger.”
“Go Tell it On the Mountain” featured solos by
Keegan Barber, Tori Hartson and Lexy West. “Mary Had a Baby” featured solos by
Lauren Summers, Destiny Burcham and Adrienne Tracy. Eli Ratcliff sang a solo
during “O Christmas Tree.” “Up on the Housetop” featured solos by Peyton Dahler
and Jacob Petrovich. The song also featured Kai Williams on the woodblock.
